On Saturday, October 17th at the South Bellevue Community Center and November 7th at the Nordic Heritage Museum, the Ethnic Heritage Council hosted free workshops called “We All Have an Ethnic Heritage – Telling Our Stories”. We had the honor to learn from dynamic presenters – “Greeks in Washington” virtual museum creators John and Joann Nicon, Emmy award-winning reporter John Sharify, and Washington State archivist Midori Okasaki. The day was filled with practical information, accessible methodologies, and interactive conversations as well as fantastic entertainment from Chinese, Filipino, Greek, Nordic and Japanese performers.
