Seattle Center Winterfest

A wonderland of sparkling lights, child-sized diversions and spirited entertainment brightens Seattle Center through the twilight of the year. Stroll the grounds, Nov. 27 – Dec. 31, and you’ll discover Seattle Center Winterfest. Winterfest Ice Rink returns, along with Saturday ice sculpting and lively weekend performances.

Visit Seattle Center Armory, all dressed for the season, and you’ll find the enchanting Winter Train & Village, fresh food and drink offered at Seattle Center Armory merchants, and inspiring student showcases. The festival opens with The Dickens Carolers and rings in the New Year with spectacular fireworks and live music by premiere dance band The Machine.

Seattle Center Winterfest, part of Holidays in Seattle, is sponsored by Coca-Cola, Alaska Airlines, T-Mobile, Seattle Center Foundation, Seattle Center Monorail and City of Seattle.

Winter Train & Village

Seattle Center Armory, FREE

A Winterfest crowd favorite, an exhibit featuring an enchanting turn-of-the-century village and train. Take a turn “conducting” the model train between 10:30am – 12 noon, 1pm– 2:30pm, and 3:30pm – 5:30pm daily. $2 suggested donation.

Winterfest Ice Rink

Friday – Saturday 11am – 10pm

Fisher Pavilion

Glide into the season with the greatest of ease. For novice or Olympiad, the Winterfest Ice Rink offers fun for all. Admission: $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 – 12, $2 children ages 5 and under, includes skate rental. Cash only.

Winterfest Student Showcases (over 100 performances)
Nov. 28 – Dec. 20, various times
Armory, FREE

Seattle Center Student Showcases fill the Armory Atrium with the sounds and sights of the season as they offer public and private schools and youth groups the opportunity to share their artistic accomplishments with family, friends, and the public.

Winterfest Ice Sculpting
Saturdays: Nov. 28; Dec. 5, 12, 19, 26
12 noon – 2pm
Outside Fisher Pavilion, FREE

Artistry and ice unite in a glorious and temporal expression of the season. Watch internationally acclaimed, award-winning artists at work as they create seasonal sculptures — or stop by later to see the glistening result. Each Saturday an ice master will carve a different design.
